Frequently asked questions The Basics What is Delivery Saver? It's our subscription-based grocery delivery service, designed to help you reduce the cost of home deliveries. Once you sign up, any order you place at tesco.com/groceries (over £40) will be delivered to your home without incurring delivery charges. And you can do that once per day for every day your plan is valid. The more you shop, the more you save on delivery charges. How do I sign up? Just go to our home page, choose the plan that suits you best, then click to buy. Once you're signed up, you can start placing orders straight away, without paying an additional delivery charge (as long as your order is over £40). Can I use any credit or debit card to sign up? You can use any Visa Debit, Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Tesco Credit Card. Unfortunately we are unable to accept sign ups using Visa Electron or Maestro cards. How much could I save? That depends how often you shop, and how much you usually pay for delivery. You can see a breakdown of all the savings you can make on our home page. How many deliveries can I have? Once you're signed up, you can have a delivery every day your plan is valid if you wish, as long as it's no more than once a day. Can I get my groceries delivered to different addresses? Yes, of course you can. There is no restriction on the number of different addresses you can have orders delivered to, as long as it's no more than one grocery delivery per day in total. Are the delivery slots limited? All available delivery slots are open to you, on every day your plan is valid, no matter what the cost. Just choose the day and time that suits you best. Is there a minimum spend? At final checkout, your order will need to total £40 or more. If you want to build your basket gradually that's fine, you just need to make sure that when you check out for the last time before your delivery you order exceeds the minimum spend. Don't worry if your order falls below this threshold should substitutions be made, or products be unavailable, you won't be charged for the delivery. Once I'm signed up, how quickly can I start using Delivery Saver? Right away on any new orders. You can even use it on orders you've already placed. All you have to do is amend the order: you can add or remove an item, or change the delivery slot - this action will activate your Delivery Saver plan and you will not be charged for the delivery. Can I use Clubcard vouchers to pay for my Delivery Saver plan when I sign up? Yes, you can. Simply go to www.tesco.com/clubcard and search for Delivery Saver where you can exchange Clubcard vouchers for a Delivery Saver coupon. For every 50p in vouchers you exchange, you'll get £1 back as a coupon to use against the cost of signing up to any of our Delivery Saver plans. How many Clubcard vouchers can I use towards my Delivery Saver plan? You can use as many Clubcard vouchers as you want to pay towards the cost of any Delivery Saver plan - or even pay for the whole plan with Clubcard vouchers. Your Delivery Saver coupon is valid for 6 months from the date of issue so you don't need to use it straight away. Plan Renewal / Cancellation Can I cancel my Delivery Saver plan? Yes, you can cancel your renewal at any time. Just call our customer services team on 0800 323 4048. If you cancel within 14 days of signing up, and haven't had any Delivery Saver deliveries yet, we'll refund your subscription fee in full. Will my Delivery Saver plan automatically renew? Yes it will. Unless you let us know you'd like to cancel, your plan will automatically renew. We'll send you a reminder on email 7 days before your renewal payment is taken. You can stop the renewal at any time by calling customer services on 0800 323 4048. I have already signed up to Delivery Saver, can I change which plan I am on? If you wish to change which Delivery Saver plan you are on e.g. move from a 'Midweek' plan to an 'Anytime' plan you can choose to change plan by visiting your 'My Plan' page, clicking on "Change Plan" and selecting which plan you wish to change to. The change will take effect at the end of your current plan. Can I use Clubcard vouchers to pay for my Delivery Saver renewal? Yes, you can. Simply go to www.tesco.com/clubcard and search for Delivery Saver where you can exchange Clubcard vouchers for a Delivery Saver coupon. It's our promise that you'll never be out of pocket with Delivery Saver. When your plan comes to an end, we'll work out exactly what you've saved by being a Delivery Saver customer. We will compare what you paid for your Delivery Saver plan and the delivery charges you would have paid without it. If it turns out you'd have spent less without it, we'll give you a grocery eCoupon for the difference. We'll email your Coupon to you within 21 days of the end of your Delivery Saver plan. Priority Access To Christmas Slots When will priority access to Christmas delivery slots open? An exclusive benefit for Delivery Saver customers is priority access to Christmas delivery slots. We will be in contact with all Delivery Saver customers before slots open with information specific to the plan that you are on. We can’t guarantee you’ll get the slot you want but by booking early you will have a much better chance of getting a time and date that suits you. On the whole, the last delivery date for grocery orders is 23rd December. In a few areas we are able to deliver on Christmas Eve – if you are in these delivery areas then we will confirm this option to you directly. Priority access to Christmas delivery slots will only be available to Delivery Saver customers on paid plans. Extra Benefits Do I get any other benefits as a Delivery Saver customer? Yes. You also get free next day delivery and Click+Collect on Tesco direct* and F&F Clothing (both subject to a minimum spend of £10) and free next day delivery on Wine by the Case. Within 14 days of signing up to Delivery Saver, we'll send you an email and a welcome pack with further details on the offers. Plus look out for other exclusive offers and benefits throughout the year. * Excludes Tesco Partners. Recent Delivery Saver Changes (July 2015) What is the minimum spend for groceries? The minimum spend on groceries to qualify for free delivery with delivery saver is £40. I see the minimum order spend is £40. What will happen if I don't meet the minimum spend? You'll be charged the price of the delivery slot you've booked, along with the £4 charge that applies to all tesco.com grocery orders under £40. If you want to build your basket gradually that's fine, you just need to make sure that when you check out for the last time before your delivery your order is £40 or more. Delivery Saver Free Month Trial What is the free trial? The trial allows you to try Delivery Saver for a month, for free. The Delivery Saver trial means you can shop and get free deliveries 7 days a week on Tesco groceries, Tesco direct, F&F clothing and Wine by the case. How long does the free trial last? The trial is a month long after which you will automatically move on to a paid plan of your choice. You will be asked to select this plan when you sign up for the free trial however if you change your mind you can switch or cancel your plan any time during your free trial. What benefits do I get while on the free trial? You will receive the same benefits as a regular Delivery Saver customer, with unlimited grocery deliveries on orders over £40 (limited to one delivery a day), free next day delivery on Tesco direct, F&F Clothing and Wine by the case. Free next day delivery on Tesco direct excludes Tesco Partners. Minimum £10 spend on both F&F Clothing and Tesco direct. Who is entitled to a free trial? All customers new to delivery saver are entitled to a free trial. I am already a delivery saver customer, can I get a free trial? The free trial is only available to new delivery saver customers. As a delivery saver customer you already save money on your deliveries and the more you shop the more you save. How do I sign up? Just go to our home page, select start free trial then follow the simple instructions to start your trial. You will be asked to enter payment details, but you will not be charged at this point. Once you're signed up for your trial, you can start placing orders straight away on Tesco groceries (minimum spend £40) Tesco direct and F&F (as long as your order is over £10), without paying an additional delivery charge. Within 2 working days of signing up you will also receive an email with your free delivery codes to use on Wine by the case. Why do I have to enter my payment details? To make sure you have no interruption to your delivery service we take your payment details upfront so that you can automatically move on to the paid plan you selected on sign up after your free trial. If you decide that you would like a different plan or would like to cancel the plan you can do so at any time during your free trial through My Plan or by calling our customer service team on 0800 323 4048 Can I switch the paid plan I selected to move on to after my trial? In My Plan you can change the plan you wish to switch to after your free trial. Can I cancel my trial plan? You can cancel your plan anytime during your free trial through My Plan or by calling our customer service team. You will still get the full month of Delivery Saver free as part of the trial. If you change your mind you can also undo the cancellation though My Plan or by calling our customer service team on 0800 323 4048.
