Phil Reedman
In the wine trade since 1985 and a Master of Wine since 1996, Phil Reedman is responsible for wines sourced from Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina.
Whether you are looking for a delicious easy drinking wine, or one with more concentration and complexity, Chile has a fantastic range of vibrantly fruity wines all offering great value for money. Over the last 10 years I have seen huge improvements in quality and Chilean wines have deservedly become very popular.
Chile has many natural advantages. These include the cold Humboldt current from the Antarctica that runs up the coast, and the Andes Mountains. Both moderate the summer heat letting the grapes ripen gently, so developing all their flavour. The melting snow from the Andes provides plenty of water for the vines.
This near ideal climate makes Chile a grape growing paradise.
