Ruby-red colour, with aromas of blackcurrant, fresh cherries, and notes of smoke and spice, especially black pepper.
Good weight on the palate with harmonious, mouth-filling tannins.
A complex wine that is easy to drink with a long pleasing finish.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
Olly Smith - Live (The Mail on Sunday) 05/02/2012Of the 2010 vintage, Olly Smith said: “If you’re after a robust red with upfront, bold fruit flavours and a dose of meaty spice, this is your vino for Valentine’s Day. With its dark flavours and richness, it’s a belter with a hearty sizzling sirloin.”
Jamie Goode - S Magazine (Sunday Express) 19/02/2012Of the 2010 vintage, Jamie Goode said: “Ripe, generous and lush, this delicious organic red wine has rich blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, with nicely balanced texture and purity.”
Jamie Goode - S Magazine, Sunday Express 17/03/2013Of the 2010 vintage, Jamie Goode said: “An organic Chilean red with dense blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, as well as a bitter plum bite to stop it being jammy. Powerful stuff, this could only come from Chile.”
With prime vineyards in Casablanca, Maipo, Rapel and Bio-Bio and access to the newest and best clones in Chile (through Jose Guilisasti, brother of Emiliana’s General Manager Rafael who runs Chile’s foremost nursery) Emiliana is a very substantial and impressive organisation. As South America’s largest organic producer, with 250 hectares of IMO and Demeter certified vineyards and a further 250 hectares in conversion, their spectacular vineyard and winery at Los Robles has the added benefit of being biodynamic.

Sourced from the Rapel Valley, approximately 100 miles south of Santiago this viticultural zone includes the sub valleys of Cachapoal and Colchagua. Rapel offers good drainage and high fertility especially for red varietals. The Climate is Mediterranean due to the low, even hills of the coastal mountain range to the west which allows the cooling influences from the Pacific Ocean to moderate temperatures.

A rich dark organic Chilean Syrah that we decanted. Lovely dark fruits laced with notes of rosemary, which was perfect with our Roast Lamb.

This is a smooth wine with a richly satisfying depth of flavour. I particularly like the fact that it is made with organically grown grapes but is still affordable and I think offers good value for money.
