Mum's Wine

The ONLY wine my wife drinks BUT oh how she enjoys it. This wine is always at the top of the shopping list. It is a very reliable wine, we have never had a bottle that is corked. The floral taste is reminiscent of a rose garden. The smell to the nose is of a cassical summer afternoon of gentility.

Close, but not perfect

This review is for the 2011 vintage

I'm not a wine nut, far from it. My benchmark is Diamante - (Logrono) which is my perfect light white wine. This is very sweet, but has the characteristics of the type of light wine I prefer. As no one in the UK seems to stock Diamante, then I tried this, but next time I will try a medium dry white Bordeaux in the hopes of matching the wine I love.

Sweet Heaven!

I absolutely love this wine! I am a sweet wine person and it's quite difficult to get a sweet wine that isn't Spanish or German. I hate German wines as they're far too acidy and the Spanish sweet Moscatel to just a bit too sweet. Premieres cotes de Bordeaux is just nice at a number 7. Easy to drink at any time and perfect when it's really well chilled. I think it's a very social wine and that sweet wines are sometimes underrated. This wine is smooth. In fact, so smooth I think James Bond could drink it!
