Tasting Notes

Western Australia is generally cooler than the rest of the country when it comes to wine regions, which suits the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes used here to a tee.

With gorgeous guava, grapefruit and gooseberry flavours, this is a really refreshing blend and makes a great aperitif.

Fabulous with fish, too.

Expert Opinion

In the press...

Of the 2011 vintage, Jane MacQuitty said: “Serve this fine, punchy, verdant Aussie white, with lots of floral, herby fruit, with everything from fresh asparagus to watercress soup.”

Jane MacQuitty - The Times 08/06/2013

Of the 2011 vintage, Susy Atkins said: "Sauvignon blanc dominates the blend both in the share (60%) and in the grassy, lemon-lime flavour, but Semillon rounds out a well-balanced wine."

Susy Atkins - Stella, Sunday Telegraph 20/10/2013

Regional info

The Margaret River region has a maritime climate, with the coastal influence of warm Indian Ocean currents. Soils are gravely loams and clays. The warm days and warm/cool nights produce wines which are richer and full flavoured. The Great Southern region has a more continental climate, with the influence of the cold Southern Ocean giving warm days and cold nights. Soils are ancient, stony and well-drained. Wines have higher natural acidity.
