Expert Opinion

In the press...

Of the 2010 vintage, Matthew Jukes said: "Produced from the classic Bordeaux combo of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this tidy claret punches way above its price with dusty tannins, real heart and lovely fresh cassis fruit. Decant it to release the maximum flavour."

Matthew Jukes - Weekend (Daily Mail) 06/10/2012

Not a good experience

I buy a lot of wine and i do enjoy French wine, but unfortunately not this one. i like dry wine and generally drink more red than other wines, but sadly found this felt as if it was shrivelling the inside of my mouth, which spoilt what would have been a very nice blackberry and hint of spice warming flavour. Not on my list to order again.

I very much enjoyed this wine and found it very easy to drink on its own and with a meal. It was not strong in flavour but then I don't like a over powering wine. I am not a connoisseur but know what I like and I did enjoy this wine will buy again.

Disappointing in that this Medoc does not live up to its flowery and rather overblown description. Found to be without "ripe red berries..." or any real distinctive bouquet. Shame really, because the case was bought on the strength of the Tesco reputation and `blurb` Certainly not worth the money when delivery cost pushes the price per bottle well over what one can buy off the shelf elsewhere.

Good value, very drinkable red, especially when on special offer. Reliable quality from Tesco.
