What a beauty

This review is for the 2011 vintage

This blend of 3 classic Rhone valley grapes is truly magnificent. Dry, smooth and full of flavour. This wine is a superb drink on it's own but when combined with fish, chicken or lightly BBQ-ed dishes and salad it is outstanding. At full price it is a wine that deserves consideration. When on offer it is a wine that should not be overlooked at all. I have shared this wine with several friends and their feedback has always been very positive.

Nice clean smooth and buttery taste and not too sweet. Would happily serve it at a dinner party. Excellent value for money.

As ever these wines are a pleasant change from the tasty reds of this region.. Lightly chilled they seem to be a reliable wine in taste and general all-round quality

Bright, pale straw colour. No initial aroma. Some acidity, apple maybe, and a slightly mineral flavour. Not much body. No aftertaste. Would get boring after a while.

Too fruity

Somewhat over indulgence of fruit addition steals away the dryness and acidity that should initially be presented to ones taste buds. Bought when on offer and enjoyed drinking with pasta and chicken but would not rate as a £10/bottle wine. Would buy again if on offer but would not pay full price.

A different white wine

A delightfully tasty and slightly aromatic wine from a combination of unusual grapes. Made an excellent change for the obsession with sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio. Would recommend the unadventurous to try this as something different.

Refined wine but lacks depth

This review is for the 2011 vintage

White Cote du Rhone wines have the potential to be delicious - this example is well made but lacks the depth of fruit that I would hope to find in a wine that costs around £10.00 a bottle.
