Tasting Notes

A vibrant white from Sicily.

Soft spices and white peach scents make this lively and fresh, with a hint of almonds on the finish.

Storage Instructions

This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 1 year

Expert Opinion

In the press...

Delivers glorious peachy aromas with a subtle spicy twist. Sip a cool glass of this fresh, clean Sicilian white and you'll be uplifted by its citrus punch and a subtle hint of exotic orangey-pineapple. Brilliant with light bites and for chilled lunchtime quaffing on sunny days with friends and family.

Olly Smith - Mail on Sunday 29/05/2011

Of the 2010 vintage, Suzy Atkins said: “Lively, fresh Italian, elegant and dry. Apple and grapefruit peel and a crisp finish pair up nicely with the Jersey Royals and quail’s eggs recipe.”

Susy Atkins - Stella (The Sunday Telegraph) 08/04/2012

Not for me

As a lover of NZ white SB, I had seen Fiano selected on a cookery program and as I am always on the look out for something a bit different, bought the Tesco finest Fiano to try. For me, and the reason why I scored this as fair, it is too fruity for me and is more like a chardonnay rather then a sauvignon Blanc. If after something slightly different the Lions Gate Sauvignan Blanc Semillion is a good bet. Hoep helpful to you.

One of my favourites, very crisp and light. I love this wine and it just happened to be on offer this time
