Anthony Rose - The Independent 13/10/2012Of the 2010 vintage, Anthony Rose said: "There's juicy fresh peachy fruitiness to enjoy in this blend of Grenache and Marsanne - a great match for fish and shellfish based pasta."
Jane MacQuitty - The Times 24/11/2012Of the 2010 vintage, Jane MacQuitty said: “This is a glorious, un-oaked, Rhône-inspired winter white. Something wonderful happens to the Grenache Blanc when beefed up with rich, nutty, perfumed, full-bodied Marsanne. This robust 2010 has fine, sappy, spiced baked-apple flavours pus an enticing Rhônesque glacé fruit finish. Red-wine haters will enjoy it with hearty winter soups and stews.”

Unlike the other reviewers I actually thought this was pretty good! It's not the most flavourful wine I've ever had but it is smooth, refreshing and easy drinking. I'd go so far as to say it was my favourite white among the few I ordered from Tesco. Maybe there's a bad batch going round?

I have to say if this is the "Finest" example of this blend that you can find then you should get a new buyer. Very dissapointing.

We have had 6 delivered in good order and promptly but the wine is what may be described as "Flavour-Free. We drank one after it had been lightly chilled with friends and we were all of one mind - very poor. What to do with the five sitting in the cellar? That's the question.

We were extremely disappointed with this as the whole case of 6 bottles was "off" - quite undrinkable. We have had this wine before and enjoyed it which was why we ordered a case. Tesco, to their credit, did follow through with their refund policy but we would have been happier if the wine had been up to standard. And incidentally 2 out of 4 bottles of another Tesco wine that came in the same order were off as well. As we have had to return quite a number of undrinkable bottles to our local Tesco store over the past couple of years we had been hoping for something better here, but no. Pretty poor.

Pale straw colour. Not much aroma. Flavourful with a nice combination of stone fruit richness and mineral dryness. Very drinkable.
