Background
History
Fournier are wine growers making classic Pouilly Fume and Sancerre in their family winery. The wines can be described as herby, steely, gunflint-smoky, combining appealing aromas with a refreshing crispness.

Regional info
The vineyards of Sancerre face those of Pouilly Fume across the mighty Loire river. Both areas produce wine from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The Fournier family estate has grown from five hectares in 1950 to 60 hectares today, divided over the appellations of Menetou Salon, Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé.

I don't normally drink white wine as I often find it too acidic but this was very very palatable and smooth and was perfect with the Christmas meal.

This is a real favourite for me. Full of intense flavour very clean and lovely with fish chicken etc. Maybe to strong as a stand alone drink. A real treat, have bought this on many occasion and it never fails to delight.
A good clean wine. Recommended.
