Aromas and flavours of grapefruit, lime and gooseberry combine in this Sauvignon Blanc.

Although a map will provide the exact seashore location as a little south of Santiago, the place (where legend has it) that inspiration resides 'Isla Negra', had to go inland to touch base with the arts of vineyard-farming and winemaking of Cono Sur.
Adolfo Hurtado
The wine benefits from the ideal growing conditions to be found in the Central Valley, Chile. Foggy mornings and Pacific ocean breezes give the grapes extra time to ripen and realise their full potential.

Bought this wine when it was 55% off + 25% off promotion + i found a £10 off code so i got 12 bottles of the stuff for £30, £2.50 a bottle! not bad for £120 worth of wine, very easy drinking and light, i could easily get through a bottle without noticing, very recommended

This is a fresh, fruity wine that Tesco, for reasons known to it alone, often has on special offer making it an excellent bargain and real value for money.

I shan't drivel on about hints of various berries, slate and coal dust or other such rubbish...shall simply say that this is a thoroughly enjoyable smooth and refreshing wine. A tad sweeter than originally thought it might be but this doesn't detract in any way. Perfect with chicken dishes and lighter curries, salads and fish but great to simply drink on it's own on a Summer evening. Has a nice long finish and is a very good buy at the recently discounted price.

Tempted by the 'reserva' branding and great offer,I ordered 12 bottles. It is terrible over sweet rubbish and I am sending it back. I am a big fan of Sav Blanc and buy a lot of Chileanand NZ wines. This can't even be used in cooking.

I purchased 12 bottles of Isla Negra S.B. having tried the wine on several previous occasions I was not disappointed. The wine was up to its usual standards & offered excellent value for money. As is usual with Tescos the offer was exceptional & I would have no hesitation in recommending both the wine & Tescos to anybody.

I have purchased this wine often but at a much higher price. This was bought during the 25% off offer so made it extremely cheap for a quality wine. Typical of a Chilean Sauvignon, very fruity and full of flavour.

Not a bad wine. However, not in our view worthy of 4 stars;.Good fruity taste - a pleasant drink, but has a slight coarseness in the aftertaste. Not as good for instance as the Brancott sauvignon blanc.

This Isla Negra Sauvignon Blanc is excellent value. It is very easy drinking and has a nice hint of lemon and fruit. Not quite as dry as some Sauvignons so goes well with many foods and is fine as an aperitif on its own. Would certainly buy again.

Beats me where the other guys get their noses from. Sniffed for aged and could not find these aromas. Personally, i thought it smelled of grapes but there you go. The taste is good. Four stars in this price range but not against more expensive alternatives.

Was really surprised at how nice this was for the price . It is very drinkable and as its only 11.5 % it's light and refreshing . Tastes as good as some much more expensive wine

We entertained several friends for lunch prior the England v Scotland game at Twickenham. We produced several bottles of this wine and not a drop left. Our guests were highly complimentary. Good wine and excellet value. Will buy more.

I started buying this brand of wine a few years ago when I first saw it stocked in Tesco and thought I would give it a try and I have never been disappointed. I find Sauvignon Blanc wine just to my taste and this make has a bit of a bite but is not too dry. I have tried other brands of Sauvignon Blanc, some a lot more expensive, but I always come back to this one. This is why I always get a good stock in when Tesco runs their reduced policy!

Normally, I can't go wrong with Isla Negra and I bought six bottles of this 2012 wine - 4 out of the 5 bottles were poured down the sink. Only one left to try. Unfortunately, a rough and very poor wine this time.

Was happy to pay a fuller price than 3.99 for last case & at this price do treat yourself. Like earlier reviewer had a bottle last night with large prawns in garlic butter .First rate. Great strong sauv blanc gooseberry flavours. Used it for Christmas drinking white. Yum yum.

This wine is a good Sauvignon Blanc from Chile it has a dry citrus flavour that is helped by it's aromas that also give the sharp fruit and fresh citrus. This wine is a great all rounder that goes well with most foods or even as stand alone at a drinks party. Well worth a try because I am sure you will not be dissapointed by this great priced wine.

All the Isla Negra wines are good value, ideal for every day drinking. The Sauvignon Blanc has a good bouquet and has some trace of gooseberry somewhere. I shall be opening one tonight to accompany some large prawns which I will cook in butter and garlic.

I usually favour the Isla Negra Merlot but bought a case for my wife to sample ( prefers white wine). I liked this very much for the heavier flavours compared to other Sauvignon Blancs. I will be ordering more in the future.

I've drank rather more of this wine than I care to admit. When it's on offer for less than £4 a bottle, it's a decent quality wine at an affordable price. As a bonus, every so often I open an extra special bottle that just excels. But never two in the same case. I've no idea why, but it's always a pleasant surprise to find fresh rhubarb on the palate. I don't think I have found anything as good for the money, and trust me, I have looked!
