The grapes come from vineyards in Limoux , in Southern France. The wine is called "Vin de Pays d'Oc", meaning it has passed tasting panels which guarantee the quality of the wines of this area.

This is a soft French Chardonnay wine, with a sensual bouquet which brings to mind the flavour of ripe late summer fruits. Its taste is soft and slightly sweet. It is an exuberant wine suitable for young adults to enjoy on happy occasions, when the company is good, the people are happy and laughter abounds. This wine may be insufficently dry for the palates of some connoisseurs. But everyone will agree that it is a light and fruity wine just right for a social gathering with friends and family or some other enjoyable occasion. It tastes of good times in summer and brings a happy smile to all those who are fortunate enough to be able to taste it..

As an aperitif or for casual social drinking JP Chenet Chardonnay is a "must" for the cellar. Its flavour is reliably consistent, and eminently affordable.

Used to drink Chenet red many years ago and decided to try once more. This time I thought I fancied a white and am pleased to say it compared very well with a more expensive wine.

Where you managed to get the above description from I'll never know. It has no 'after taste' and doesn't have an aroma of tropical fruits. It is quite non-descriptive and could have come from any number of countries. However it is reasonably palatable and suitable for tippling before a meal but not ideal with a meal. I wish Monsieur Chenet would cease making the neck of his bottles bent as it makes them difficult to uncork. I suggest screw tops - wines of much superior quality use them.

Liked this wine because not as dry as some Chardonnay's nice fruity flavor I would recomend it to my friends

Very disappointed with this purchase - when we poured it, it looked very yellowy, not the fresh white look that we have had before with this wine. All 6 bottles in the case were the same, and tasted 'old'.
