Passion fruit, ripe lemon and tropical fruit, lively and finely textured, beset with lingering citrus notes.

To enjoy this wine at its best, drink within 1 year of purchase.
Fiona Beckett - The Guardian Weekend 31/03/2012Of the 2011 vintage, Fiona Beckett said: "Zesty - with a hint of passionfruit offsetting its trademark, gooseberry flavours, it's tasting better than it has done for years."
Oyster Bay is New Zealand's third largest wine maker and defines the stature and style of New Zealand wines. It produces elegant, assertive, Super-Premium wines, with glorious fruit flavours from the renowned regions of Marlborough and Hawke's Bay.
Michael Ivicevich
Marlborough is New Zealand's largest and most renowned wine growing region, characterised by a temperate, maritime climate, producing intense, aromatic wines with trademark acidity.

A very pleasant and refreshing bottle indeed. Good with food or on its own. Best if served well chilled. The only drawback is the price - there are better and cheaper alternatives available. The prices of Oyster Bay wines have gone up considerably over the past 2 or so years and I'm not at all convinced that the price increases necessarily reflect the calibre of these wines.

This is our favourite white wine. It can be drunk with red or white meat, pasta or just as a casual drink. Great.

The Oyster Bay is a marvellous wine for all occasions. It adds an extra touch to an ordinary meal, but I would not be embarrassed serving it to guests at a special event. It is best served with food, but could be drunk by itself. The Sauvignon Blanc grape produces an easily recognised wine full of fruit flavours and is a favourite choice of mine. If the bottle is not finished the metal screw top is good for keeping the wine in reasonable condition for a second day. The price is not too high, but when it is on offer it is a great bargain. I'll definitely be buying more.

A crisp wine with plenty of flavour , hints of gooseberry and lemon. This wine is easy on the pallet and not as sharp as some others.I bought a sample to try and have now purchased a number of cases for my wedding reception.

I love this wine. Even better when it's on offer! A freshing wine goes with fish, chicken or on its own sitting down after a hard week at work!

A nice glass-full but If anything a bit over-tasty, if you know what I mean: there's a lack of subtlety about it if taken on it's own, so better with food and will not disgrace you.

Find this slightly drier to my palette than some Sauvignons which I really like.Has a lovely sharp lemony finish.

I do prefer white wine to red and I like it on the drier side but with a nice fruity kick. I absolutely love this wine - it ticked all the boxes and I will definitely buy it again

This is a very tasty white wine that is easy to drink either on it's own or with fish and pasta. Great fruity nose and long after taste. Good price when reduced - a household favourite that we will buy again.

Since we spend much of our time overseas, we really appreciate being able to email instructions to Tesco and rely upon them to deliver excellent wines to our friends whenever we need to send gifts. This solves problems for us and delights the recipients. Thank you Tesco for providing such a helpful service. We drink Oyster Bay ourselves and find it an excellent wine. This year, Tesco offered it at a very competitive price - an offer that we could not refuse.

This is such a well-known wine it hardly needs a review, but it is always lovely - good on the tongue and light and refreshing.

We love this wine. It is crisp and full of flavour with staying properties. Kiwi fruit and gooseberries notes. Goes with chicken and fish dishes very well too. As I say 'our favourite white'!

This is the first time we have used Tesco direct to buy wine. The service was excellent and the Christmas offer for a wine which we buy regularly and love was the best on the high street.

Not only does new zealand provide us with the best rugby in the world it has as big a profile with providing us with some of the best wines in the world and the Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc is no exception. It is delicate with a fresh fruity taste, a favourite at any dinner table, or just relax and enjoy the moment with a glass of Oyster bay, no need for any other company. Highly recommended and I would certainly always have a bottle or two in the house.

One of the best sensible priced Sauvignons on the market. Serve chilled and enjoy with most food and on its own. Buy when on offer as a treat.

A typical New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Reliable and dependable. More subtle than some of New Zealand's offerings. Recommended
