Deep Crimson with dark red hues in colour, this wine has a bouquet of rich fruitcake and plum aromas with a hint of spice and sweet vanilla oak.
On the palate it is full bodied with complex aromas of mulberry, plum and chocolate.

This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 10 years
Carly Gammage - Saturday Magazine (Daily Express) 16/06/2012Of the 2008 vintage, Carly Gammage said: “… is a heady mix of ripe mulberries and blackcurrants spliced with a little spice and vanilla for good measure.”
Winemaking at our place has been a tradition since 1847 when Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard on the banks of Jacob's Creek.
Bernard Hickin
Mild conditions in early spring were followed by an unseasonably hot, dry and windy period during November. However, these conditions did not impact greatly on fruit set in the region and possibly even benefited the vines by allowing them to acclimatize earlier than usual. December through to harvest in late February saw perfect ripening weather, with warm days and cool nights producing balanced crops of healthy full flavoured fruit with great freshness and robust tannins.

A favourite of my nephew so always keep a good stock for when he calls. I buy this wine, especially when on offer

Full bodied but not too heavy on the head or tongue. This wine has a wonderful smooth taste with aromas that send you to another place. The first half glass poured direct from the bottle did have a taint to it, but i left the bottle open for an hour, then poured through a device i bought for just a couple of pounds and boy oh boy was that nice. The device is made of plastic and fits into the neck of the bottle so the wine is poured thruogh it, the wine is aerated as it goes into the glass. you can pick them up from any catering/high st department store, well worth it.

This is a shiraz I know I can always rely on for its consistency in plummy aromas, spice and hint of oak. I have never managed to keep a few bottles longer than one year but fully believe it could mature for a good many more. Get it up to room temperature and let it breath by decanting - it will always impress.

This wine is very reliable. Probably overpriced at full retail cost but good value at an offer price or £7+

I regularly buy this wine in store or online. At the under £10 mark it is the best around. I try and buy when discounted and order a couple of boxes, but quite happily pay full price in store. I agree with Diana on this one.

The reserve is a good wine that can be kept/cellared for a few years. It is a full wine with tastes of plum and spice. Good with roast beef dishes or meat in sauces. I enjoy with hard cheese platters. Will buy again.

I regularly buy this wine and it is a good, reliable, quality wine from a volume wine company. I always buy when on special offer, but even when it's normal price it is still a good buy. It is good with roast red meat dishes and stews and can hold it's own with a bit of spice too.

This is a beautiful full bodied fruity wine and must be served at room temperature to appreciate it's full flavours. Tastes such as chocolate, mulberry and plums spring to mind.
