Expert Opinion

In the press...

Of the 2010 vintage, Jamie Goode said: “Viognier is a grape known for making textured wines, and here’s an attractively rich, bold, peachy white with some pear notes and a nice broad feel in the mouth.”

Jamie Goode - S Magazine (Sunday Express) 26/02/2012

Of the 2010 vintrage, Olly Smith said: “If you’re a lover of apricots and peaches, this organic white wine has plenty of scented summery fruity flavours with a jostle of aromatic spice. Great with mild spicy recipes or fish cakes.”

Olly Smith - Live (The Mail on Sunday) 04/03/2012

So this is how Viognier is supposed to taste!

This review is for the 2011 vintage

A lovely example of the Viognier - I have tasted other examples which were heavy & overoaked. However this organic version from Chile had lovely expressive peach blossom aromas followed by aprcot & tinned peach on the palete encased in a creamy (not oaky) texture. My mum makes this chicken dish where she flattens the breast and puts a couple of apricots in the middle, wraps it into parcel, breadcrumbs & then shallow fries, which went brillantly with this wine
