A wonderfully fresh South African Sauvignon, showing aromas of pear drops and citrus on the nose.
Delicious with salads, white meats and fish dishes.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Our wines are all grown and produced by a dynamic team of neighbouring farmers, all co-owners of the FirstCape brand. We believe this is the best way to guarantee the quality of FirstCape, as they care more about the wines from the vine to the shelf.
David Smit
Our FirstCape wines are all made from grapes grown in the Western Cape of South Africa, throughout the beautiful Breede River Valley just an hour's drive from Cape Town.

From the Cape of Good Hope, this crisp, fresh South African is a delight. It's a realisation that the old traditions of Fruit-farming have been put to good use when using modern techniques and systems. This well-produced, vibrant wine is lovely with grilled Fish, with Seafood in general as well as proving a capable companion to white meats.

We drink a lot of Sauvignon , mainly from New Zealand . This wine was harsh and uninspiring and shows you get what you pay for.

This was pointless! The only word I can use to describe it. No nose, no depth, no distinguishing tastes.

I felt this wine would go nicely with chips. It has a real taste of vinegar. It was really cheap at £3, so I shouldn't have expected much. Its not bad if you cook with it or if drinking it add a drop of brandy to take away the acidity. Will never buy again

I found it slightly acidic and lacking body or any deep flavour. I was drinking it on its own and perhaps with food the taste would have been less noticeable.

Crisp & refreshing, best served VERY cold.A good quality wine for the price. Good with vegetarian dishes too, though very quaffable with or without food!

Really pleased with this wine - just what I wanted for every day drinking. So much better than I can buy in a pub at >£13.45.

This is this years wine, and it has a freshness that is appealing, . The Alc.11.5% is just right for lunchtime. It benefits from a screwcap. If you enjoy South African wine, you will enjoy this. Oh ! and Tesco has it at a good price, delivered to your door
