Good everyday Shiraz, has a reasonable balance of flavours and is good value for money

Sour Grapes

This has been one of most unpleasant wines we've drunk for some time. It was essentially sour, with a flat metallic finish. It really was unpleasant on the palate. For the price you could do much better. This has put me off buying by the case - we've still got five bottles left and what to do with them? Maybe make a wine trifle?

Best of the bunch

This was actually wine, with fruit on the nose and some detectable tannin on the palate, whilst the Zin and Pinot from the same producer are alcoholic fruit drinks. It still lacks character and has very low acidity. By the way regarding the above description by Tesco, Shiraz shouldn't have mint in it.

This is a very fine wine from California and at a good price. Not always available by the case but when it is it is worth picking up. Good fruit, good nose and an all round winner.

This review is for the 2011 vintage

Not a particularly glowing example of Shiraz or Californian Shiraz but at 50% discount I am certainly not going to criticise it!!

good value for money when discounted and this is my second buy - and it benifits considerably by being left to breath for a day.
