Not much more than a fiver to spend on a classy Christmas Chablis? Then this bottle, blessed with lots of lively, floral, verdant, faintly nutty fruit, has your name on it
The Wine Gang - www.thewinegang.com 23/08/2010
An authentic stony character here with crisp fruit that is steely and tightly drawn. The palate is pristine, with no shortage of dry, zippy apple fruit and typical under-ripe pear bite and fine acid balance. Terrific Chablis, though the 2008 1er Cru in this range is worth the £4 premium. Score: 88/100 − £8.99 at Tesco.
Tim Atkin - The Table, The Times 28/08/2010
Typically unoaked and sculpted, this well-selected own-label from Vaucher is minerally taut with an undertone of creamy, crème fraîche
