Jamie Goode - S Magazine, Sunday Express 24/03/2013"This is a really appealing and affordable example of Muscadet. It has simple pure fruit with a smoky, mineral character. This is a versatile, tasty dry white and comes with a bargain price tag. Try it and see."
The tradition of viticulture in the Nantes region of Muscadet, started from the Roman emperor Probus whose soldiers planted the first vines in the territory. Viticulture developed there during the Middle Ages under the impetus of the monks of the abbeys of Country Nantes.
LGCF
Originally cultivated by Romans, these vineyards have long been celebrated for producing high quality wine. The grapes are grown in Nantais, where the clay soils are rich in minerals.

Having fish covered with a sauced for dinner - then this wine is fit for purpose. There are so many producers along the Loire valley that it is difficult to make a choice from the label - so leave it up to the wine buyer in Tescos to make the choice for you, Muscadet is no connoisseurs choice but it helps the fish dish go down and Tescos choice is as good as any, Try it. At the price it is a good deal.

We've always liked Muscadet - it's crisp dry flavour with hints of citrus and apple make it ideal for all year round drinking. This is one of our favourites.

Dry, crisp. Lacks minerality of more expensive Muscadet but excellent for the price.

I tried this for the first time last week and was very pleasantly surprised. Crisp and dry, very easy drinking. I usually go for Pinot grigio but this was a close second. Will definately buy again.

I thought I would try this since the simply Zinfandel was good! This however is awful - now stuck in my garage for guests that think Blue Nun is quality!

This is as good as pricier Muscadets, and better than the long-running Sainsbury version. It's not even much different from the 'Sur Lie' £££ type. Another TRIUMPH for the Tesco Wine Dept. Really lovely, more-ish, and perfect with or without food at a great price.

This is a lovely French dry white. It makes an excellent Kir and is good on its own when nice and cold. Goes well with nibbles as an aperitif or with fish or even spicy food. Yummy!

The title says it all. It's a good wine if you like dry French white wines

The Muscadet is at the top of this 'Simply' range. A tremendous value-for-money, crisp, refreshing French White which is at its best when chilled and offered with seafood or white meats. Mind you, with an ABV of 11.5%, it performs very well as an aperitif with some savoury canapees or tid-bits. I like to keep a bottle [or two] in the fridge 'just in case'. Which reminds me, I must order some more cases! Cheers.
