Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
This Pinot Noir has wonderful rich aromas of dark cherry, earth, chocolate and spice.
These characters flow from the nose onto the palate and firm tannins pull the flavours together and leave the palate crisp and awaiting the next sip.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Established in 2001, Waipara Hills wines have become famous for their intensity, character and complexity – a result of the innate contrasts in climate in New Zealand’s deep South. Their philosophy is simple; it’s about allowing the characteristics of each season’s fruit to shine, creating perfect balance with as little interference as possible. The result is wine that is rich, vibrant and bursting with complex flavour.
Central Otago is located towards the southern tip of South Island and has the most continental climate in New Zealand, with cold winters and hot, dry summers. Rainfall is low and summer temperatures can exceed 35°c. However, protection from the surrounding hills, refreshing, cooler nights and mineral rich soils make this region an ideal place for growing rich and balanced Pinot Noir.
