Made famous by the wines of Sancerre in France, Sauvignon Blanc is now found pretty much everywhere- In Chile it’s really coming into its own and this one is fresh, crisp and deliciously dry, made from grapes grown in the Central Valley, Chile’s natural fruit bowl- With white peach and grapefruit flavours, there’s a touch of tropical fruit too- Loves salads and seafood.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
THE BEGINNINGS OF VIÑA LAS PITRAS DATE BACK TO 1934 WHEN RAFAEL BALBONTIN FUENZALIDA OBSERVED THE PERFECT CLIMATE AND SOIL REQUIRED FOR PLANTING THEIR FIRST VINES HERE. Flying kites or ‘las cometas’ have captured the imagination of the people of Chile since they were introduced in the 16th century. Each year, when Chile celebrates its independence, hundreds of brightly coloured kites soar above the festivities, keeping the tradition alive.

THE CLIMATE IS HOT, WITH A COOL SEASON BETWEEN SEPTEMBER TO APRIL WITH LITTLE RAIN IN THE PERIOD OF RIPENESS WHICH ALLOWS HARVEST IN PERFECT CONDITIONS.

Sauvignon Blanc is my favourite white wine grape especially when from the new world but this? Horrible. Tastes of chemicals and I just can't drink it. I had two bottles in the case and the second will be tipped down the sink

Excellent Crisp and Fruity Sauvignon Blanc from Chile and available at an excellent price and would certainly purchase again at this price.

We were so impressed with this wine, that we immediately ordered 2 more cases. We found it equally as good as a good quality Chablis. Hopefully Tesco will keep this one in their range.

I don't pretend to know anything about wine but I know I know what I like and have already re-ordered this one.

Sauvignon is perhaps my favourite wine and this one has gone straight on my list as a favourite. As I am not a wine connoisseur I have to go by personal taste and this wine is delightful - will definitely buy again.

A light, crisp and fruity wine with no sharp aftertaste. I shall certainly buy it again.

Not a mouth busting sauvignon blanc but for the price very good value.

Although this was purchased on the back of a pre-tasting experience which impressed me at the time, when trying it at home, it just didn't quite deliver. The taste was flat rather than fruity and I would suggest drinking this VERY chilled (preferably iced) and with plenty of food. Would have given 1 star but for the fact that I liked it the first time round and I'm not entirely sure why!

Nice drink but prefer the New Zealnd Sauvignon Blanc. I do like the gooseberry taste which was one of the reasons I bought this wine

A delicious Chilean sauvignon blanc that is incredibly easy to drink. It is light on the palette and leaves you wanting another sip! Highly recommended, my cellar is stocked with this fabulous bottle.
