A deeply flavoured, full bodied wine that combines blackberry and black cherry fruit with gentle notes of toasted wood and vanilla.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
Founded in 1932, this is one of the oldest appellations in Spain. There is that the wines produced by the land of Marques de Carano give youth and vitality to its inhabitants.
Marcelo Morales Calderon
Cariñena, in the north of Spain, is a region of low rainfall and long hot, sunny days that bake the soil dry, forcing the vine roots to give rich and concentrated wines. It is the regions largest and oldest DO.

A good value, fairly fruity and light red wine. Medium bodied and seems to go well with most meats and with spicy dishes.

We have sampled one bottle of this wine with the family who all made favourable noises (age groups of thirties, twenties to seventies) about the quality and body of this full and fruity wine. It is to be drunk at my son's wedding in May and we will be able to review more effectively just how popular it was with a range of age groups. However it would appear very good vaue at the price at which we bought it - thank you Tesco. Having the extra points goes down well too.

It is full bodied with the flavour of red berries and a smooth finish on the taste buds it goes well with red meat but also superb on its own

This is a great wine for the price. It will go with most meat dishes and is also ok for drinking on it's own. I've bought several cases in the past and will do so in the future.

Bought this wine on special for £5 a bottle, usually £8-9. It is a decent full bodied spanish red with good levels of tanin and deep hearty flavours but not too fruity. If served at a good room temperature, even better.

The wines from the Marquis de Carano family are delicious and this is no exception. Combined with the special offer price, it makes it a must buy. Great value.

One of the cheaper wines on offer, so a plus for value, but I much preferred the 2009 vintage which I bought a case of earlier this year (and fortunately kept a couple of bottles back for Christmas).

BOUGHT THIS WINE ABOUT 3.50 PER BOTTLE, BEAUTIFUL , NEXT LOT UP SAID 2006 IT WAS ACTUALLY 2007, NOWHERE NEAR AS GOOD , NOW THEY ARE £8.99 IN STORE, FAR TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS. OFF TO LOOK AT ASDA.

Rather flat, no great flavour. Disappointing but acceptable as a second bottle for a group evening, once the tastebuds have been numbed a little. Probably wouldn't buy again unless the offer price made it more attractive.

Fab wine at a great price. A full bodied wine that is a lovely partner to compliment pasta or a pizza.

Both my wife and I found this wine to be rather sharp and vineragery for a reserve type we thought it would be more mellow and smoother. We had to decant it to imrove slightly the taste.

Lovely rich red, with oaky undertone. Excellent with veal and caramalised root veg. Or simply warming on its own whilst relaxing in a comfy armchair next to a crackling fire.

Had high hopes for this wine, unfortunately it's a real disappointment. It's very bitter and the tannin content is so high it makes your teeth squeak

Not the full bodied wine as described and quite deisappointing. No depth and lacking in brambly fruit flavours. It was ok for an evening in quaffing but don't serve with a meal.
