History
Since 1882, the Piccini family have been making wine in Tuscany's historical heartland. Mario and Martina are the 4th generation of the Piccini family. Passion, tradition and scrupulous selection of grapes combine to create smooth and complex wines.

Regional InformationPiccini winery is situated in Tuscany in the Chianti area, more precisely in Castellina in Chianti, an area that is particularly suited to the production of wines of quality. The production zone, covers territories in the provinces of Siena, Florence, Arezzo, Pisa and Pistoia; areas that are particularly suited to the production of wines of quality.

Reasonably priced good quality Chianti

This review is for the 2009 vintage
This is my favorite Chianti within the limits of reasonable pricing. Do not expect the 'one in a million' effect but good body and I found it better than higher priced bottles. Good with red meats and cheese.

Medium ruby colour and cherry on nose. Well balanced and a good example of the Sangiovese grape. Very good every day wine but needs food pairing desperately.
