When I'm in Spain or in the UK, the bottle is the same, 'Cordon Negr0' , super crisp cava (Sorry about the 0 but this site does not allow the product name to be used - last review I'll do)

Couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted the deal it was fantastic. Freixenet has been my favourite wine for years but I can only buy it for special occasions so when the e mail came through with the deal I was straight on. Thank you as my daughter's fortieth birthday is coming soon I was able to. stock up

A good, dependable Cava

This is a mid-priced sparkling wine, which I have enjoyed over many years. It is one of the best Cavas, many of the others are of variable quality and Freixnet can alway be relied on. It is clear and has a fruity, well rounded flavour, with plenty of bubbles!

Full bodied, although light and refreshing. One of the nicest sparkling wines I've tasted and a worthy alternative to Champagne. Well priced bubbly and I thoroughly recommend.

This is highly recommended for special occassions... it's a great choice that would suit most pallets.. I would say it is more of a medium light delicious bubbly flavour that goes with most food. Try the pink Freixenent too, goes down very well with your guests. If you're not sure what to buy, dont hesitate with this one. You wont be disappointed.

This is my favourite Cava, crisp, dry but with a lovely flavour. A nice alternative to champagne, although a cheaper version in cost, certainly not a cheaper version in taste. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good fizz, ideal for Christmas

This cava is definitely of a superior type. Serve this instead of champagne, I don't think anyone would know and it certainly has a quality to it over most cavas. This is a must for special occasions, Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries. Not too dry, great to drink with or without food. A party essential!

Because I like very dry wines, this for a bubbly lover is by far a superior sparkling wine. It never fails to please. Lets face it, it is champagne by any other name. Well worth a look.

AWFUL QUALITY

I bought before yesterday (St. Neots -Cambridge- Tesco extra) two bottles convinced I had made a great deal, considering bottle costed half of its regular price. Today Sunday we have tasted, we good friends of us (batch L226101M) and I understood why they were on promotion.....As Spanish I am quite habituated to drink this product/ brand, and believe when I say you this product was defective. Sparkling disappeared starting product was dosed on the glass. Disappointing! fortunately my British mates didn't realize (indeed they enjoy them!). I do never buy any cava promotion at tesco

Freixenet Cordon Brut Cava

By Manloj

Light fizz, great for early evening drinking- not complex, nor biscuity. Still, I added the words`Freixenet Cordon rude word Cava` to the title of this review and the site blocked it, so maybe the Spanish ought to change the name!

Having lived in Spain for many years this traditional methode champenoise Cava from the region of Penedes is a great all round wine. Good for receptions when the guests are arriving, or maybe in cocktails and punches or to accompany seafood or chicken dishes as well as a favourite of mine with a rich Valencian lobster, crab claw and shellfish Paella. Clean, crisp and dry with a long slow fizz this wine is guaranteed to impress you and your friends
