The McGuigan family have been producing wine in Australia for four generations. The Shortlist range is a selection of multi-award winning wines that represent the unique flavour and character of each varietal as well as the influence of the terroir on the wine. Each bottle is individually numbered. McGuigan was recently named the International Wine and Spirit Competition Australian producer of the year and International Winemaker of the year for an unprecedented third time in four years.
The Barossa Valley is arguably Australia's most famed region, known for its full-bodied red wines, particularly Shiraz. The Mediterranean climate has meant that Grenache and Mourvedre have found a natural home in the Barossa. The soils here are a mix of low-fertility clay loam through to more sandy soils, ranging through grey-brown to the picturesque red.
