Lifted peach, ripe white pear, stone fruits and a suggestion of vanilla oak.
The palate is medium bodied with fresh acidity.

This wine can be enjoyed now or carefully stored for up to 2 years from purchase
In 1850 at the age of 20, Thomas Hardy came to South Australia from England and established a winery on the banks of Adelaide's River Torrens in 1853 which went on to become an outstanding family wine business. He was a pioneer of immense character.
Peter Hensel
Fruit for this wine was sourced from from quality vineyards around South Eastern Australia where riper fruit parcels were specifically selected to achieve a style rich in body and flavour.

This wine certainly has the peachy/pear fresh taste you would expect from the description. No misrepresentation here, a truly good wine. Would heartily recommend it.

This wine is really awful for it's price, with an unpleasant heavily acidic aftertaste on the palate. It is however presented in a nice looking bottle label. It does no credit to Australia or Tesco.

We were disappointed with this chardonnay. We are fans of Hardys Crest Cabernet Shiraz Merlot and expected this to be of similar calibre. Sadly it isn't. Chardonnay should have a bit of 'zing' about it and be a lively refreshing drink. This is an acceptable ordinary white wine but we wouldn't buy it again.

This is a very average plonk for easy domestic drinking. It won't poison you but don't expect any highlights. A couple of glasses will pass the evening quite easily

Due to an illness at work I had to go in to cover so I rang Tesco delivery co-ordination to tell them where to securely leave the wine. I even left a note for the delivery people to ring me. The message didn't get through and no-one rang me. The wine was on the doorstep when I returned. I felt lucky that it had not been taken. Tesco and it's delivery agency need to sharpen it's act. Having said that it all worked out well in the end and it is a pleasant wine at a good price. Thanks.

A little more oakey than most modern chardy, so this one takes you back a bit to the 80's, so enjoyable on a nostaligic level. Nice pasta wine.

12 bottles of this wine cost me over £50, therefor I expected to receive a 5p off a litre of Tesco petrol. I did not receive the voucher. On enquiring your representative was extremely helpful and suggested a £5 discount. This was duly credited to my account. First class service. As you say every little helps. The wine is excellent value for money and I will certainly buy at. at this price, again.

I tried a bottle myself before buying a quantity to give to relations as Christmas presents, and I found it very palatable, with good fruity aftertaste, but not over the top, a nice compromise at a reasonable price, The feedback from the recipitents has been very good

I bought this wine when it was on offer, and although I normally go for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, I really enjoyed this wine with fish and with white meats. It is light and fresh and doesn't appear to have been in contact with oak barrels (probably too young for that treatment), so no migraine type headaches for me with this wine.

This is a really good chardonnay at a great price. Loads of flavour and yet a touch of dryness as well. You can drink it with almost anything - and we do!

This wine is excellent for drinking on its own or with a meal as it has a lovely medium taste, not too dry and not too sweet. It is a wine that I buy on a regular basis as Australian wines are among my favourites.

This is simply my favourite white wine which I stock up for Christmas and parties etc. It is not exactly cheap per bottle but it is often on offer and is a great buy at these times. I would far rather serve this to my friends and families than a cheaper version so buying it when it's on offer provides the best of both worlds !!

The first taste is sharp which then goes onto the creamy oaky flavour, a full bodied wine which will go with any meal even with pizza, my drink that I purchase regularly

Hardys Crest is one of my first choices of Australian Chardonay. Refreshing easy to drink and accompanies most foods.
