Olly Smith - Live Magazine 09/01/2010A 100 percent Shiraz from Oz, this 14.9 per cent warming treat of full-on flavour is what so many of us fell in love with about Australian winemaking. It’s dark and peppery, rich and long-lasting with chunky tasty body and the boucing exuberance of a disco-dancing kangaroo. It comes form a unique site in the Clare Valley where wines were first planted in 1904. Cheers.

History
Tim Adams Wines was founded in 1985 and has grown from a crush of just 85 tonnes then to around 900 tonnes today winning a string of international awards. It sources its fruit purely Clare fruit via a network of loyal growers and it's own vineyards.

This review is for the 2006 vintage
I wouldn't just say it's one of the best wines Tesco sell, I think it's the best, or at least it is since I remember getting the far more expensive Penfolds Grange from Brookfield Tesco quite a few years back now. Unfortunately Tesco no longer sell the Penfolds Grange, so making the Tim Adams Aberfeldy the best.

Went to a tesco tasting in Brighton and this was a million miles ahead of everything else! Rich but perfectly balanced,refined and sophisticated.sip slowly in front of the fire and say cheers to Tim Adams for making such amazing wine!

This review is for the 2006 vintage
This is, I think, one of the best wines Tesco sell - and I have spent a year exploring their catalogue. It is seductive, delicious, full of flavour and aroma and finish,: it is a Christmas party on your palate. Brilliant value. And the screwtop means it will never be corked. BUY.
