Product Details

Tasting Notes

An elegant white made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape, grown in the vineyards on the other side of the river bank to Sancerre.

This has got all the classic minerality you'd expect with a wine from here, with gorgeous peach and acacia aromas and crisp citrus flavours.

Divine with seafood.

Storage Instructions

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year

Background

History

The vineyards of Pouilly-Fumé date back to the Roman era; a reference to the Latin name Pauliacum super fluvium ligerim (Pauliacum on the River Loire), reflecting the Roman road which passed through this territory.
