A lovely intense ruby colour.
On the nose, it has a fine red fruit aromas such as raspberries and strawberries with a touch of liquorice.
On the palate, the wine is aromatic and fruity with soft tannins.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 5 years
Jamie Goode - S Magazine (Sunday Express) 29/04/2012
Of the 2009 vintage, Jamie Goode said: "I love Loire reds, which are usually light and perfumed. This one has attractive cherry and berry fruit with a nice chalky, mineral edge. It would be a great match for a delicious rare steak."
Chateau Soucherie is located on schistose hills near the town of Beaulieu sur Layon in Loire Valley. It owns 36 hectares of vines located in different terroir of the Anjou region. Chateau Soucherie grows its grapes following a sustainable viticulture process.
Located along the Loire River near the town of Angers, the region of Anjou has a mild continental climate with some maritime influences due to its close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. The vines also benefit from being planted in schistose-clay soil.
