Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
Beautiful deep purplish-red in colour, this wine opens with notes of sweet spice and a bit of chocolate, followed by a layer of black fruit that builds alongside varietal notes that recall black pepper, soy sauce, and roasted red pepper.
Flavourful and intense on the palate, with excellent typicity and notes of smooth tobacco and graphite on the finish.
Balanced texture with firm, sweet tannins and refreshing acidity that foretells its excellent cellaring potential.
Drink now or keep 7 years following the vintage.

Of the 2009 vintage, The Wine Gang said: A Chilean fruit-bomb that we found a little de trop with its full-on blackcurrant pastille, sweet oak and peppermint, with a creamy rich palate and slightly dry oak tannins, although we'd be prepared to admit that its super-ripe character would have its admirers.
The Errazuriz Estate was founded in 1870 when Don Maximiano Errazuriz planted his first vineyards at Panquehue in the Aconcagua Valley - 100km North of the capital. Recognising that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world class vineyard.
The grapes for our Max Reserva Carmenère 2010 come from the Max II, Max V, and Ocoa blocks of our vineyards in the Valle de Aconcagua, a region with a long, dry growing season and moderately warm summer days cooled by gentle afternoon breezes that blow in from Pacific Ocean. The vertically positioned, drip-irrigated vines are planted on well-drained sandy-loam soils.
