Based in the village of St Aubin, the Roux family own 70 hectares of vineyards in the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune and Cote Chalonnaise. Domaine Roux dates back to 1885, and the current generation, brothers Sebastien and Matthieu, have propelled Domaine Roux into one of the leading producers in Burgundy. The Roux brand is distributed in 58 countries worldwide and the wines have been highly rated by publications including Wine Spectator, Decanter and Guide Hachette.The domaine owns vineyards in most of the main appellations, all the way up to Grand Cru. Particular strengths include St. Aubin, Pommard and Corton Charlemagne, while they also produce wines in Rully, Santenay, Chassagne, Puligny, Meursault, Beaune, Mercurey, Aloxe, Chambolle, Vougeot and Gevrey.Often winning awards and distinctions for their fine wines, most recently they have been awarded 3 and 4 stars (Best Value award) from Decanter Magazine for the Chambolle-Musigny Villages 2006 and 2007. The Premier Cru, "les Charmes" has been awarded a fantastic 5 stars.
