A bright, perfumed aroma, with notes of redcurrant alongside more classic blackcurrant and plum aromas; This predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blend shows classic Pauillac structure, with a strong tannin presence coating the inky-rich fruit weight - A great value Pauillac to enjoy over the next decade or more.

Probably the finest Haut-Bages Liberal since the 1982, this beautifully rich wine has an inky purple color, a big, sweet kiss of creme de cassis, incense, some background spicy oak and forest floor - Its gorgeous fruit, full-bodied opulence, impressive purity, expansive texture and broad, savory finish make for a terrific wine to drink over the next 25+ years.
Pauillac is situated in the heart of the Haut-Medoc and is arguably the most famous of the left bank appellations, not least because 3 of the 5 first growths are in the Pauillac appellation. The starting point for Pauillac's outstanding quality is the soil - largely free-draining gravel, which is ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Although the Chateaux have become increasingly adept at creating their own individual character, nonetheless there is still an identifiable Pauillac style: full, rich and characterized by the classic cassis and cedarwood aromas of oak-aged Cabernet Sauvignon. The majority of Pichon-Lalande's vineyards are located to the south of the appellation on the border with St. Julien
