Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
This elegant and concentrated wine supported by velvety tannins displays aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, liquorice, spices and pepper.
This is a perfect accompaniment to venison fillet, roast beef and mature cheese.
Can be enjoyed now but will develop further complexity with cellaring in cool, dark conditions, easily 15 to 20 years.
"Since the beginning of the adventure in 1808, 7 generations have contributed to build one of the finest estates in the Rhône Valley. M. Chapoutier has spread itself across the Rhône region over the years and has diversified its offering with wines coming from the best appellations such as Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Côte-Rotie, Condrieu, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and further afield to Roussillon and Australia. Today, M. Chapoutier is the biggest estate owner within the Hermitage Appellation. Michel Chapoutier, at the head of the domain since 1990 describes himself as “wine-grower, wine-maker and wine lover”. This passionate and constantly creative man, decided to change the taste associated with Maison M. Chapoutier, to avoid cultivating “a signature taste”, focusing instead on bringing out the difference and specific features of each terroir. He also initiated different changes like converting the entire estate to biodynamic farming and introducing the Braille language on the labels."
