Lovely, light sparkler made from the Moscato grape in Piedmont, Italy.
And it really does smell of freshly squeezed grapes! At just 7%
, it makes a great party fizz, or put it with a fruit pudding and wait for the sighs of appreciation.
This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 1 year

“A sparkler made from the Moscato grape, so there is some sweetness in the wine, but the alcohol level sits at just 7% ABV. For a brilliant cheap and fuss-free party fizz, pour a bottle of this into a jug and squeeze in the juice of four limes. Refreshing and low cal!”
Under the guidance of winemaker Claudio Manera, Araldica is now Piemonte's largest and most progressive co-operatives controlling 900 hectares of vines. They have recently added two single estates, and their reputation for quality grows each year.
If you head north east from Alba you will enter the hilly DOC region of Asti. When used solely on it's own the name Asti refers to the well-known sweet sparkling wine Asti Spumante.
