A benchmark red Burgundy.
Silky smooth, light to medium- bodied with fragrant floral aromas and light red fruit flavours.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 3 years
Andrew Neather - Evevning Standard 07/04/2011
...one of the few reliable cheaper red Burgundies, made very attractive in this stellar vintage, with lovely freshness and fruit…
Jacqui Morley - Blackpool Gazette 23/04/2011
...a rich fruity triumph, silky smooth, all crushed redcurrants with a tart twist of cranberry, avoiding heavy handed tannic clout, one of those reds you can pair with seafood as easily as with meat and poultry dishes.
From the tip of Chablis to the toe of Beaujolais, from regional , village, 1ER and Grand Cru wines, Louis Jadot (Est. 1859) makes wines from the length & breadth of Burgundy. The 'Bacchus' label being a reliable stamp from this complex region.
Burgundy is in the heart of France. What makes the region unique is its many 'terroirs' - complex combinations of soil, aspect and microclimates that produce a multitude of unique, fine wines .

We served this one at a 80th birthday lunch celebration for 40 guests, the main course was fillet of beef wellington, and whilst a little light for beef, this is a classic elegant Pinot Noir, great for lunchtime drinking, and we had numerous good comments about this and the Chablis served, also from Tescos
