The wine is pale straw in colour with fine-beaded mousse.
The nose is characterised by aromas of ripe tropical fruit and vibrant passionfruit.
The palate shows intense stone fruit flavours and is full and textural with a tantalising minerality.
This wine shows fantastic equilibrium of concentrated fruit flavours and zesty acidity.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Jamie Goode - S Magazine (Sunday Express) 15/04/2012“Sparkling Sauvignon is the latest hit from New Zealand’s innovative wine industry, and this is delicious. The bubbles work really well with fresh, grassy, fruity flavours. I reckon this could be a good, if slightly unorthodox match for roasted chargrilled vegetable salad.”
Helen McGinn - Femail, Daily Mail 21/02/2013“I love a good Sauvignon Blanc – but one with bubbles? Not so sure. Turns out I was wrong: this is gorgeous, with classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc gooseberry aromas. There’s also a bucketful of fresh lemony flavours and it works brilliantly, in an unexpected way. Great with a crowd.”
Brancott Estate is named in honour of Brancott Vineyard, our original Marlborough vineyard.

Two main soils types predominate in the Wairau Valley. On the northern side of the Wairau Valley are young soils based on river silts and stone. On the southern side of the Wairau Valley and the side valleys leading off it, are much older soils with higher clay contents based on glacial outwash.

This comes close to another one of my favourite New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. Serve chilled - good with Fish. Also goes well with canapes. Has good flavours and is certainly worth trying if you haven't tried this one before!

An excellent wine with a delicate elderflower flavour. Many friends have tried it and they all liked it. Many preferred it to some champagnes - first tasted in New Zealand three years ago as the white wine at a wedding. Well worth trying.

I have to say this sparkling wine has to be one of my favourites. I think it is better than Champagne! It has all the flavour of a sauvignon blanc wine with kiwi, gooseberries and passion fruit characteristics. It isn't weak and wishy washy either, it packs a punch! Great for celebrating too!

Clean, fresh tasting fizz, that is easy drinking (almost too much so!) and perfect for entertaining. If you like NZ sauvignon, you'll love this. Serve cold.

first tasted this wine at the London wine fair. We were very impressed with the flavour. Can't wait for Christmas, so that we can open a bottle or two. !! We would recommend it to anyone who likes champagne, but doesn't like the price

Great wine, packed full of flavour I was lucky to get this on offer and wish I had bought many more. I actually prefer this to champagne and so do many of my friends. Its highly refreshing and a pleasure to drink.

Brancott Esate is a very good wine maker, their new sparkling wine is fantastic, a very good alternative to champagne.
