Love this wine! Will buy it whenever it is on offer and especially if I have a social occasion coming up .Most of my friends who drink red have always raved about it and some friends who are confirmed white wine drinkers are also being converted!!!!

Shiraz is a pleasant not too dry red wine, which is quite fruity and a good buy.

A wine that's not boring, but not over bearing with the taste - a hint of sweetness, enough flavour to go with food, and enough mellowness to be nice on its own. It's complex enough to not get boring either, so a box went very fine! A terrific stand by for all occasions and so far in top 3 wines in our house.

Very disappointed given other reviews. Thin, weak, acidic and generally not very nice - wouldn't even choose to cook with it.... yet other people seem to like it so either I got a bad batch or my taste is different to many. I do like big fruity Aussie reds, especially Shiraz, but this isn't one of them! I'll pass on this one in future, regardless of price - even if were 3 for £10 I still wouldn't touch it.

Bit disappointing at first. Not the shiraz ' hit' of many Oz wines - but after the first few glugs - improves! Were hoping for a drink alone wine - but will reserve it for some red meat meals.

We found this wine to have an acidic / tannic aftertaste, We did not find it pleasant and would not order again. Strange that this should be our opinion when so many rate it at 4 / 5 stars. We have however had the wine stored for 10 months - perhaps that has somethintg to do with it. Motto may be drink it quickly !!

A friend gave me a bottle of this wine as a gift in November. I opened the bottle on New Years eve. It tasted so good that I ordered 2 cases via Tesco's website on New Years day.

This is a light, fruity wine, ideal as an aperitif, too light for heavy meaty meals. Very flavoursome and a steal at under a fiver when on offer

I got this wine in a mixed case of Tesco reds on special offer. We had it with Christmas dinner. My brother picked it out as he said he had heard of it or had it before. I poured out one glass to let it, and the bottle, breath for an hour or so. When we drank it we all agreed it was really good! I enjoy red wine but find a lot of them very acidic, sulphurous or have a harsh tannin content. This wine was flavourful but didn't smack you in the mouth. Most noticeable was it's smoothness and total lack of acidity. Medium in sweetness with some 'legs' (glycerin) but not a lot. There was only one bottle though :-( so I came here to get some more!

A beautiful ruby coloured wine with strong berry flavour. Smooth on the tongue and hints of spice as an aftertaste. Classic Australian Shiraz.

I have been drinking red wine for about 30 years, tried a few types, Spanish French Italian My favouites come from Italy and Australia, and my top red is Blaxland Estate Shiraz Hard to find, Tesco is the only store I have seen it in, it has displaced my previous favouite (which was Hardys Anniversary Shiraz) on reliability and tast. It manages to deliver the typical strong Shiraz taste while remaining smooth on the tongue and the thing we need most - reliability.

Not as potent as the excellent Sisters Run but fun to have with red meats and the like. Well done Tesco for finding this wine and supplying at a very reasonable price.

We purchased this wine because we had an offer from Tesco with money off and free carriage. They say you get what you pay for, and this was definitely the case with this wine. We shall not be purchasing any more.

This easy to drink Shiraz certainly fulfills the description and makes for a refreshing tipple both with or without food. Friends have also enjoyed and I know some have already purchased and enjoyed which I guess tells the proverbial story!

Would have given this 3.5 stars if i could This was a very rich tasting, full bodied wine a little on the sweet side but not too sugary. The soft tannins made it very smooth tasting. It also reminded a little me of cherry bakewells. There was a pleasant white pepper spice (kick) to it as well

It's difficult as everyone has their own taste however this wine is full bodied, it has flavours of cherry, vanilla and a bit peppery. Goes well with red meat or on its own.

If you like intense powerful New World reds this is certainly one to consider, especially if you like a traditional Shiraz. Even better when it's on offer. Deeply fruity, with the classic peppery edge so characteristic of a straight Shiraz, this a great meal wine for venison, beef, lamb or game.

I stumbled across this when buying half price wine for a party. Tried it myself and could not believe how smooth and full of body and flavour it was. The exceptional value for money was an unexpected bonus. Judging by the way it flew off the shelves and still does, everyone else seems to think so too. I love gutsy reds with mediterranean fish stews and other stongly flavoured tomato sauce dishes and Blaxland suits them perfectly. I find its all too often out of stock so it must be popular. It really is a Shiraz lovers wine and best bought by those who love the wine rather than those who just want a bargain. This is one best left for those who really appreciate it.

Overalll this Shirsz was not too bad - not brilliant but not too bad for the price. To my palate it tasted rather weak for Shiraz which I usually relate to strong muscular reds. I was rather disappinted with this wine and in futre will buy other shiraz.

This is our very favourite red wine. Fruity, smooth and easy drinking. Beats others that can be quite sharp and heavy and more expensive. Better than average.

Love this wine. If you like your wines full bodied, soft, deep and well rounded then get this. It tastes like a much more expensive wine - the price is excellent.

We like a Shiraz and so does our neighbour, but we were disappointed in this particular bottle - perhaps it was the "subtle American oak" that ruined it for me personally.

This wine is full of flavour and rich in colour I prefer to open the bottle and let it breathe for a good hour. When you do this you get the full aromas and beautiful soft round taste. Tried the rest of the bottle the day after and it was even nicer in my opinion.Worth trying.
