Generous citrus fruit flavours are enhanced with creamy nutty yeast characters providing both richness and structure.
The wine finishes soft, crisp and clean.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard on the banks of Jacob’s Creek in 1847 setting in motion 160 years of winemaking tradition. Our origins are entwined with pioneering names such as Gramp, Menge and Jacob, who were prominent in the early development of the Barossa Valley and South Australia.
Freshness of fruit flavours and yeast complexity, are achieved by the inclusion of more than one vintage during assemblage (blending). Cross blending of vintages also allows the winemaker to accomplish a consistency of quality and style. Typically, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are harvested early in vintage when they have fresh varietal flavours and high natural acidity. The retention of natural acidity is important to the style of this wine, giving the palate a crisp and vibrant finish.

Lovely chardonnay/pinot noir blend. Better than many real champagnes , especially when on offer , which it often is.

A light sparkling wine which doesn't have a strong fruity after taste that many other sparkling wines do. Great to drink on its own or with fish or chicken.

still like the wine but think the price is still reflecting previous awards their other wines have won. that said if you like your sparkling chardonnay pinot noir its a good one and will buy again just think its a bit trumpy now because of the name.
