Tasting Notes
This is a lovely off-dry style of Cava, made from the traditional blend of grapes - Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel-lo - but with a hint of sweetness.
Lots of fresh apple and lemon fruit, and a hint of toastiness.
Makes a great partner to fresh fruit, especially strawberries.

Background
History
In 1551, Jaume Codorníu began making still wines in Penedès, Spain. In 1872, having studied the ‘champenoise method’ of sparkling wine production in Northern France, Josep Raventós, a descendant of Codorníu, applied the technique to the traditional Penedès grape varieties of Macabeo, Parellada & Xarel.Lo and created the first bottle of Cava. Today Codorníu is an award-winning winery with the best selling Cava brand in the UK and back home in Spain.
