Very pale straw yellow in colour with elegant fine bubbles.
On the nose, typical varietal aromas (citrus, almond flowers) are prominent.
Pleasant, fresh and well balanced on the palate.

In 1551, Jaume Codorníu began making still wines in Penedès, Spain. In 1872, having studied the ‘champenoise method’ of sparkling wine production in Northern France, Josep Raventós, a descendant of Codorníu, applied the technique to the traditional Penedès grape varieties of Macabeo, Parellada & Xarel.Lo and created the first bottle of Cava. Today Codorníu is an award-winning winery with the best selling Cava brand in the UK and back home in Spain.
Bruno Colomer Martí
Grapes used in the production of Codorniu Brut are sourced mainly from the area in D.O Cava with the most Mediterranean climate, where the indigenous varieties manifest their true character.

This Cava is very enjoyable. We had it on Christmas Day and New Years Eve, also enjoyed a little bit of sparkle before dinner on New Years Day. I would recommend this wine very highly

Beautiful, fresh taste, described as dry but would class it medium-dry. Unrecognisable from champagne! Highly recommended!

We wanted to find a sparkling wine to serve as an aperitif that was more affordable than champagne and we chose this wine for the occasion. It was liked by everyone, not too dry but enough taste to leave you wanting another glass! Cordonieu has never disappointed me yet and this one will be re-ordered by us for other occasions in the future.

We had the vintage version for our wedding so knew we'd like this too; always good for an occasion and only 11.5 so good for all day. Good value too
