Langguth was founded in 1789 by Franz Wilhelm Langguth. Today, more than 200 years later, the Langguth family owns vineyards in five different continents. The Langguth portfolio caters for a wide spectrum of consumer preferences under the original Langguth brand and also H. Sichel Sohne, traditionally one of the best known names in German wine. Langguth owns the famous Blue Nun brand, Germany’s biggest export brand, as well as Erben, Germany’s biggest domestic brand and is one of the top 5 wine produce
The vineyards in Germany are mainly planted in the Southwest along the River Rhine. The vineyards for the Blue Nun wine are in the foreground of Langguth’s quality. Their philosophy is selection according to the “terroir” principle, which emphasises soil and localised climate. The soil is a combination of weathered slate, loess and loam of the slopes next to the River Rhine.

Blue Nun .. the name brings back many memories of the 50's & 60's. A nice dry white low alcohol wine, just right for an every day easy drink or two.

One of the few wines that i dont get a headache after drinking. Must be the absence of Sulphur dioxide. Light and refreshing, goes with most food.
