An elegant, full bodied white wine with aromas of tropical fruit, exotic lychees and roses and a spicy lingering aftertaste.

To enjoy this wine at its best, drink within 1 year of purchase.
Jamie Goode - S Magazine, Sunday Express 24/03/2013Of the 2011 vintage, Jamie Goode said: "Beautifully floral, grapey and lively, this Alsace white has a gorgeous rose-petal perfume, as well as nicely rounded fruit and a hint of spiciness. It's dry but it has a trace of sweetness too."
Kuehn was founded in 1675 by the Baron de Schiele, vine grower & wine merchant. During World War 2 the town of Ammerschwihr was almost completely destroyed. The only structures left were the deep cellars which refuge village inhabitants.
Francis Klee
The villages of Alsace lie in a narrow band at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. Low rainfall & long dry autumns allow Alsace to produce aromatic wines from similar grapes used in German wine.

Too sweet is an understatement…….it’s almost pudding wine sweet! Has the “lychees” nose that you expect from Gewrztraminer and its from Alsace, but ive tasted better from Chile for less money

This was a pleasant alternative to the near-inescapable sauvignon-blanc and chardonnay offerings. Made an enjoyable aperitif and went well with fish and white meat. Will mre-order

Very fond of Chinese food and this wine is perfect to enjoy with Asian foods - I am certainly not disappointed as it is clean and fresh

We have always been on the lookout for this wine, it has a pleasant taste and is worth putting a few bottles in the store cupboard. We will buy it again.

The only place to produce a decent gewurztraminer is the Alsace region of France. This wine has a good bouquet but has not got as much of the spicy after taste of some of the more expensive bottles. Overall an excellent wine for the price. I will most certainly purchase again

Lovely off-dry wine, very fragrant and smooth taste of fruitiness and rosewater. Would definitely buy again.

A good, decent Gewurztraminer, with a nice "after" taste and a good nose too, although overall this is not as good other previous vintages. I feel that describing it as "Tesco Finest" is a bit odd, since it is the only Gewurztraminer on offer anyway.

We first ;purchased this wine some six years ago, this being the first time that we had seen it on sale in Tesco's, and found it to be very acceptable, given that we have been enjoying Alsace wines for over twenty years. Unfortunately our recent purchase from you for the same wine does not contain any of the accepted ~Gerwertztraminer flavour or bouquet. We also purchase the same from the Wine Society which is sourced from the SAME producer as Tesco's, and find this wine to be very good on taste and flavour. Up until now we have sampled three bottles and have come to the conclusion that it might be best to leave it to mature a bit longer, but the advice on the bottle label suggests that it be consumed within a year of purchase so it cannot be left too long.

Sweet and not balanced in acidity. I normally love this wine but was disappointed - ordered 12 but will be returning 10.

Sweeter than some I have tried but saying that it was delicious really cold. Good with a curry or just on its own. Good depth and great value for money.

One of our favourite wines. Even better value having used our Tesco tokens. Easy to choose and order, with prompt delivery.

Full of flavour, a real mouthful. It feels modern and rather moreish. Its a style of wine I haven't had for a long time. Its like meeting a friend you haven't seen for years who looks fabulous, different, better than you remember. I will be getting it again and trying others of that type.

I've been drinking this for 5 years and still adore it. Great with curry, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, a B-B-Q or on it's own. Price has risen over the years but it is still good value for a wine which has been consistently great. Despite recession and the need to belt tighten it is a habit which I refuse to break The only reason for not recommending it would be to keep demand and the price down so that I can keep it all to myself. It is one of the few reasons I buy wine from Tesco. If they stocked more wine like this I would be a permanent resident in their wine department rather than an occasional visitor looking up a good friend,

This wine is flavorsome without being over-powering. It suits both my wife and mtself as it is not too dry. I feel it is a little expensive though. So we have it as a treat.

Only just been introduced to this wine from the Alsace region of France and i was instantly impressed by it .It's a full bodied white with lovely flavours (not acidic ).Would keep this one for special occasions as it costs more (approx £7.95 ) than i would normally pay for a bottle (£5 ),Well worth a try and i would definately order by the case again .

This is a superb Alsace, which never fails to please. It has a great aroma and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. It goes with almost any meal or can be drunk as a light drink on it's own. The only regret is that is often not available in our local store in St Peters

This is our favourite white wine. The floral taste and aroma are wonderful. A great wine with seafood, fish and chicken.I wish the price was a bit more competitive.

A very fragrant and delicate white wine with exotic flavours as described on the label. Probably best enjoyed in the summertime with light summery dishes ie: Seafood, chicken salad etc and fruity desserts. A pale straw coloured wine best served chilled . This wine has a much more distinctive flavour than the Alsace riesling.

A lovely, spicy, full-bodied white which is especially good for those of us who can't drink red wine but need something with a bit of oomph to go with red meat, etc. Excellent value for an Alsace Gewurtztraminer - we always have a few bottles in the fridge/cupboard to augment our daily Sauvignon Blanc drinking.
