Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
Bright pale lemon in colour.
On the nose it has intense, lifted aromas of lemon citrus with touches of lime and a hint of spice and vanilla from the barrel fermentation.
Elegant and restrained on the palate it shows zesty lime character with touches of toasty complexity, good weight and balance with a long, refreshing finish.
This wine should be stored in a cool dry place, and can be kept for up to 5 years.
Expert Comment: "Bright straw-green; a 100% barrel-fermented wine that breaks all the rules: has more freshness than any other Clare Valley Semillon, and the impact of the barrel fermentation is secondary to the fruit expression;has excellent length, too. 94 points James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2011 Producer details Mount Horrocks Wines is operated by proprietor/winemaker Stephanie Toole, who restricts production to approximately 4,500 cases per annum in order to achieve her aims of quality and single vineyard expression. Stephanie describes her wines as essentially hand made food wines with an emphasis on structure as well as generous fruit flavours. All grapes are 100% estate grown from three separate vineyard sites totalling nearly 10 hectares in the Clare Valley.
