Of the 2011 vintage, Andrew Neather said: "This is hardly the most sophisticated Loire Chenin Blanc, but it's bright, open and juicy. And it's rare enough to find anything drinkable under £5 these days, especially from the Loire, where growers are finding it harder than ever to make a living at the ex-cellar prices demanded for this sort of UK price point."

History

Anjou Blanc is produced in our own winemaking centre and is vinified at low temperature and aged on fine lees. Thanks to this technique, we extract a maximum of aromas and we keep the freshness and crispness of the wine.

One of the specific features of Lacheteau lies in the important share of business devoted to marketing estate-bottled wines (5 to 6 million bottles per year).
