Tasting Notes
This delicious Champagne is pale gold in colour with fine persistent bubbles.
The nose is delicately fruity with aromas of brioche while the palate is fresh and elegant with a creamy texture and a long finish.
Storage Instructions
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 4 years
Background
History
The Gonet estate was established in 1802 and is now onto its seventh generation of family ownership. The estate owns 40 acres and has vines covering various areas of Troyes and Chalons en Champagne.

Regional info
The grapes that are used come from old vines in the Champagne Grand Cru areas of Avize, Oger and Mesnil where chalk soil slopes provide perfect drainage. 10km south of the Epernay is where the champagne is stored in a cellar dug out of chalk subsoils, which keeps the champagne at a constant, cool temperature.

This was not what it was meant to be a total let down ! Horrible after taste left in mouth. We drink champagne often and have lived on the continent never encoutered such ghastly champagne !
