Background
History
Kuehn was founded in 1675 by the Baron de Schiele, vine grower & wine merchant. During World War 2 the town of Ammerschwihr was almost completely destroyed. The only structures left were the deep cellars which refuge village inhabitants.

The villages of Alsace lie in a narrow band at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. Low rainfall & long dry autumns allow Alsace to produce aromatic wines from similar grapes used in German wine.
