Background
History
Winemaking has been part of the Piñeiro Cores family for many generations. Their grand parents consolidated the various parcels of land to enable the family to produce wine more efficiently. They also removed the many hybrids and replaced them with the higher quality Albariño grape variety.

The Rias Baixas are the low estuaries of Spain's northwest coast. This is where the best white wines of Galicia are made with the Albarino grape as King. Albarino is the grape that may once have been Riesling, brought by German Monks setting up Monasteries on the Camino de Santiago in the middle ages.
