History
Catena Zapata is a family winery with 100 years of experience in the wine industry in Mendoza. In the 1980`s Nicolas Catena changed the history of Argentine wine when he dared to believe that a wine could be made in Mendoza that would stand with the best of the world.

This review is for the 2011 vintage
One of my favourite chardonnay wines, has mild oaky taste with lots of flavour and is easily 'slurped'. I usually buy when it is on offer, but when my stocks are low I am prepared to pay the full price. Some of the more expensive wines don't come up to this Argentina. Excellent.

A lovely oaky chardonnay - prefer it when on offer but when you feel the need for that taste of chardonnay and oak (not as much as a few years ago) I happily pay for it.
