This, one of the producer's cheaper wines, is good quality given that it's made in quite large quantities: a hit of bold, fresh, dark fruits-of-the-forest compote with Christmassy dried fruits."
Background
History
Manoel Pedro Guimaraens, who founded the firm in 1822, created a special port which was reserved for his family and kept in Bin no.27 of their private cellar. Five generations of Fonseca Guimaraens have maintained the quality and style of this fine reserve blend.
