The story behind one of Chile’s most famous wines began more than 120 years ago. Don Melchor, founder of Concha y Toro, stored batches of his best wines in an underground cellar. When he noticed that bottles had been stolen, he spread a rumour amongst the locals that a devil lived in his cellar. Hence the name of Casillero del Diablo, the devil’s cellar. Since 2008, Diablo wines have received more than 80 awards from internationally recognised competitions, including 8 Gold medals and 18 Silver medals.
Marcelo Papa
Crafted using grapes from Chile’s coastal Casablanca Valley. This cooler climate brings out the best qualities as the grapes ripen later, allowing the intense fruit flavours to shine through. www.chileanlegend.com

This wine (bought untried on offer, as my usual favourite in this genre 'Roko' was unavailable) - really delivers. A perfect pick-me-up after a busy day or to share with friends with nibbles as an aperitif, it would be hard to source a better Chilean Sauvignon in this price range. This wine is soft, gentle and fragrant on the nose but delivers a delicious crisp kick with no sour after taste. Excellent value, go get - (but save some more for me!)

not quite dry enough or distinctive enough for me to regularly buy this wine. Like most wines though, everyones palate can appreciate them in different ways so give it a try......when on offer!

As a Reserva, the grapes are selected and ensures a clean, dry and crisp, blackcurrant leaf, citrussy, flavour. The Casillero Sauvignon Blanc bears comparison with the world's top sauvignons.

Great dry wine, easy to drink. Well worth a try if you want a change from a New Zealand wine, Not a heavy wine not too fruity

Like the other Chilean wines I buy via Tesco, this was is of excellent quality, and is affordable because of the very good discount offers. Even at the full price, it is very enjoyable!

This has always been a favourite of ours. We find it full of the lovely fresh gooseberry flavours normally associated with sauvignon blanc. IIt is delightfully fresh and crisp and goes wonderfully with, not only fish and white meats, but also we enjoy it with a good steak.

Does not have the depth of gooseberry notes you want to taste in these wines but is great value and good general drinking.

A great value wine that offers a slightly less in-your-face experience than some Kiwi alternatives.

I have bought this wine for a considerable period of time and it never disappoints. It has a nice clean, citrussy taste and we drink it with a straightforward Chicken salad meal. The slightly dryish aftertaste makes it ideal to drink on it's own as well. It compares favourably with some New Zealand Sauvignons and is often considerably cheaper too.

An excellent wine - ideal for a party where fine delicacy is not so important. It tastes good and I prefer it to the cheaper Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs

Now generally overpriced, but, when on offer, still an easy-drinking, fun Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.
